Almost 75 years ago, Wan Ja Shan's founder, Wen Hwa-Wu crafted an heirloom recipe for soy sauce that they still use to this day. The company’s name literally translates as “The Aroma of 10,000 Houses,” because it was whispered that you could smell Wu’s sauce from miles away. Today, their sauce is brewed in New York State and they are focused on being truly all-natural and preserving the local environment. Nearly everything is recycled - even left over soy meal is given to local farmers to use as feed for cattle!
When it comes to sauce, we don't think there should be so many secrets. In your average bottle from the grocery store, you're getting more than you bargained for — preservatives, food coloring, unpronounceable ingredients, added sugars, and other processed ingredients are all hiding inside.
