A farm-fed team is a happy team. Host a market at your office and show those hard workers how much you care.
Unfortunately, we are not able to issue refunds for missed pickups or deliveries. But the good news is that when you miss a pick up, your food never goes to waste. When you know you’re going to be away and submit a request to skip a weekly harvest, you have the option to receive store credit or to donate that week’s food to those in need through our partners, Rethink Food NYC and God’s Love We Deliver. If you don’t let us know in advance and miss your pick up, your food gets donated to the community volunteers who run your local market, as well as the hardworking employees of the local business host.
This will depend on the market location you chose prior to checkout. Check out our locations to confirm when your market is open.
If you place your order before Friday at 12 pm ET, your harvest will be ready for pickup the following week. The exact day of the week and time depends on the specific market location you chose at checkout.
1) Your food is packed and transported with minimal packaging, so remember to BYOB (bring your own bag).
2) Double-check your location and be on time. Market days and times vary for each location so check your details, and if you can’t make it — get old school and ask a friend!
3) When you arrive, say hi to your friendly market leader! They’re there to help if you have any questions.
4) Pick and weigh your weekly harvest.
5) Don’t forget to take a recipe or two, and share your #madewithlocalroots creations.
Yes! You can change market locations mid-season for a $10 fee. Send an email to info@localroots.nyc with your name, current market location and new desired location at least one full week in advance of your current pick up day.
We are all about making farm-fresh food accessible. One of the ways we do that is by building relationships with local businesses that donate their spaces for a set amount of time each week to host a market. Our market leaders are also volunteers. So it’s important that you be at your market locations on time. When you miss a pick up without letting us know in advance, your food gets donated to the community volunteers who run your local market, as well as the hardworking employees of the local business that hosts your market. At this time, we cannot take back, store to code, and coordinate the redistribution of the food you left behind. We hope you understand. In the future, if you think you’re going to miss a market, you can ask a friend to pick up your food for you.
Are you a NY based cafe, bar, or neighborhood business? Become a Harvest Club pick up location and have community members come to your establishment each week to pick up their Local Roots harvest.
