Farm-to-Table Event & Sales Manager
We are looking for a Farm to Table Events and Sales Manager who can lead and expand our events program with a focus on driving customer conversion and growing our client base. You will plan and execute engaging, aesthetically pleasing events—ranging from small gatherings of 25 people to large events of up to 500 attendees. Local Roots events include office events and public events, and vary from informal to higher end. Our events will not only be beautiful experiences but also result in Harvest Club subscribers, or referrals for future events. You must have a strong background in sales, passion for wellness, health, or food, and ideally have pre-existing connections within these industries. If you feel confident and excited about executing events from start to finish (finding clients, closing the sale, executing the event), this is the perfect role for you. Our events are a key way to share our story, and we need someone who can grow this part of our company by combining creativity with a sharp business mind to make each event a success.
If you do not meet these requirements but you’re a hard worker, outgoing, have some experience working at events, and excited to learn, let us know in your application! We’re hiring for part time event staff as well.
Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition & Sales:
- Aggressively pursue and secure new clients for both corporate and public events, focusing on B2B with offices, wellness brands, and public events.
- Leverage pre-existing industry connections in wellness, health, or food to grow our event clientele.
- Develop sales strategies to maximize revenue while working with a very tight budget
- Ensure each event generates measurable conversions, such as new social media followers, Harvest Club sign-ups, or referrals.
- Event Design & Execution:
- Collaborate with the founder on event concepts, ensuring that all events align with Local Roots’ mission and aesthetic.
- Manage the logistics of each event, including staffing, vendor coordination, setup, and breakdown.
- Execute beautiful, detail-oriented events that reflect our brand values and provide a personal, memorable experience for attendees.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service and ensure seamless execution, making every event feel both personable and professional.
- Partnerships & Sponsorships:
- Develop strong partnerships with wellness and food brands to sponsor events or collaborate on larger public gatherings.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and third-party platforms to expand our reach and book more events.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Analyze event performance quarterly, tracking sales, expenses, and profits.
- Use data to improve future events and conversion rates, ensuring that every event drives growth for Local Roots.
- Marketing & Conversion:
- Market and promote events
- Ensure a strong social media presence at every event, creating photo-worthy moments and encouraging attendees to engage with our Instagram.
Qualifications:
- Proven 3 year minimum experience in sales and event management, with a focus on food, wellness, or health sectors.
- Existing connections or network within the wellness, health, or food industry.
- Ability to balance creative event planning with aggressive sales and client acquisition.
- Strong aesthetic sense and attention to detail in event design.
- Track record of executing seamless events, from small grassroots gatherings to large-scale functions.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision, wear multiple hats, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills—both in sales pitches and client interactions, as well as with event attendees.
- Highly organized with a knack for multitasking and managing various aspects of event logistics.
- Proven ability to convert event participants into customers or brand advocates.
- Friendly, personable, and outgoing personality that pays close attention to detail and is business savvy
- Ability to work within a very tight budget and a small team
Bonus Skills:
- A background in public relations or influencer marketing within the wellness/food space.
