How Do Subscriptions Work?

Peppers and herbs are picked fresh from Brooklyn Grange's rooftop farm and thrown straight into the kettle! Organic vinegar lends a gentle tang to the sauce, and herbs from the field add floral and savory layers. A specially selected mix of hot and sweet peppers make their sauce a perfectly balanced blend. Perfect on tacos, burritos, omelettes, noodles, and just about anything else.

  • Handcrafted in small batches in NY

  • Ingredients:  Hot and sweet peppers, organic vinegar, mixed herbs, onion, garlic and salt

The Problem

Most big name hot sauces like Tapatio and Tabasco are made with peppers grown in poor countries of the Global South, where giant corporations exploit cheap labor to drive down the cost of their products. Not only does this mean that ingredients are transported long distances and made with sub-par ingredients, but it also puts farmworkers and processors at risk of pesticides exposure and abuse. 

 

Our Food Fix

Brooklyn Grange hot sauce ingredients are grown, processed, and packaged here in New York. Peppers are grown on rooftop farms across the city using organic practices. The farm grows as many peppers as it can each year to produce all of their hot sauce until it sells out. That's about as local and seasonal as it gets!
