The Problem
Let's get this straight: Fresh cider is raw apple juice that has not undergone a filtration process to remove pulp or sediment. Apple juice is juice that has been filtered to remove solids and pasteurized so that it will stay fresh longer. The majority of store-bought apple juice (or often mislabeled cider) often has added processed sugars and is pasteurized to remove its nutrients.

Samascott makes apple cider year round fromover 72 varieties of locally-grown apples including old standbys, heirlooms, novelties and the most common favorites. The family-run orchard and farm has been in operation for over 30 years now, and has created a name for itself for its quality apples and cider.
