We hate food waste because it adds to your carbon footprint. Here’s how to store arugula and other salad greens so they last the longest and you have even more time to use them. Watch Wen-Jay explain more here.
What you need: your greens, a produce bag (plastic or compostable), a paper towel and a refrigerator.
Put your greens in the bag with a dry paper towel on top to soak up any condensation or moisture. Close the bag, but don’t push out all the air or tie it too tight, you want airflow. Then, store it in the produce section/crisper drawer of your fridge.
Pro tip – never keep greens or produce in your fridge without a bag to protect it from the wind of the refrigerator.
