There are a multitude of health benefits that come with eating seasonally.

Join our expert panel of nutritionists and alternative health practitioners as we reveal why eating along with the seasons can heal you.

This discussion is moderated by Local Roots CEO Wen-Jay and will give you a more in-depth understanding of how seasonal eating is interconnected in all parts of your health. 

Complimentary farm to table seasonal salad and artisanal bread provided by Local Roots NYC and AeroFarms.  All participants will receive a little gift from NAO Wellness.

Abby Cannon:
DIETICIAN + LOW WASTE NYER

Abby K. Cannon is an attorney turned dietitian who lives a very low waste lifestyle. She received a degree in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and her law degree from Brooklyn Law School. While practicing law in New York City, she realized her true passions were for nutrition, wellness, and the environment and so she returned to school to become a dietitian.

Her food philosophy marries sustainability and nutrition in an approachable, doable, and fun way. Abby's Food Court (both the private practice and the blog) helps people to make the most sustainable choices for their health and the environment.

  


TAE HYUN KIM
: EASTERN MEDICINE PRACTITIONER, BIO HACKER

Tae received his master's in Science in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, and BPS in Massage Therapy from New York College of Health Professions. Currently in the Doctoral Program in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from Pacific College, he has been in clinical practice for the past 10 years in Manhasset, New York at Five Phases.

Tae has certifications in Yoga, Qi Gong, Anti-Aging, Posture, Weight Loss and Neurofeedback.

Growing up in Italy Joanathan cultivated his passion for food. After moving to America he discovered adaptogenic plants, plant based food, superfoods and other transformational foods. Since then, he has been studying and refining recipes to create balance within mind, body and spirit.
