Dumpling Making Party

February 05, 2019

Learn the secrets of making Chinese dumplings by a cookbook author and food guru in a fun environment!

Happy Chinese New Year!
Isn't it about time you've uncovered the secrets of making dumplings at home? Cookbook author and radio host Cathy Erway will teach you how to make a dumpling filling that's balanced in flavor and super juicy, make cute little folds to seal the dumpling, and then how to fry it to perfection. All of this with a beer in hand alongside friendly food-loving NYers.

We'll end the workshop by snacking on dumplings and a demontration on how to make baked baos.

To celebrate the year of the pig, you'll even be able to take home 1 pack of Local Roots ground pork so you can make more dumplings at home (it's not a feast unless there are endless amounts of dumplings). There will be complementary beer available courtesy of WeWork.

This event is open to the public - you do not have to be a Local Roots member or WeWork member to attend.
