Traveling? Super busy? Just follow the steps below to pause your subscription.

Missed Pick Ups and Deliveries

Unfortunately, we are not able to issue refunds for missed pickups or deliveries. But the good news is that your food never goes to waste. When you skip a weekly harvest, you can receive store credit or donate that week’s food through our partners, Rethink Food NYC and God’s Love We Deliver. If you miss your pick up without proper notice, your food gets donated to the volunteers who run your local market and the hardworking employees of the local business host.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel, we’ll be happy to issue store credit to use toward another one-time purchase or future subscription. Your store credit will be determined by the number of deliveries remaining in your subscription. You must email info@localroots.nyc at at least 1 week prior to your next pick up date to receive credit for that week. Unfortunately, we are not able to issue refunds.

Pause or Cancel FAQs

Yes! Click on the button “Pause Your Subscription” and fill out the form. You must submit your completed form by 12 pm on the Friday before your skip week. Requests submitted after will not be processed. You’ll be asked to choose to receive store credit or donate your food. If you opt for store credit, you’ll get a discount code within 2-3 weeks. Donated food goes to our partners, Rethink Food NYC and God’s Love We Deliver. You will be charged a $5 processing fee. Once your request is processed, you’ll receive a confirmation email and $5 will be charged to your account. Note: Requests made before the season starts are free of charge.

You can submit your form to pause your subscription as early as the beginning of each season. So for example, if you have a big trip planned in August, you can submit your form at the start of the summer season in June.

We are all about making farm-fresh food accessible. One of the ways we do that is by building relationships with local businesses that donate their spaces for a set amount of time each week to host a market. Our market leaders are also volunteers. So it’s important that you be at your market locations on time. When you miss a pick up without letting us know in advance, your food gets donated to the community volunteers who run your local market, as well as the hardworking employees of the local business that hosts your market. At this time, we cannot take back, store to code, and coordinate the redistribution of the food you left behind. We hope you understand. In the future, if you think you’re going to miss a market, you can ask a friend to pick up your food for you.
