All About Beet Tops
Beet tops are very similar in texture and flavor to swiss chard leaves. Watch here to learn all about beet tops.
Chop off the beet roots and store them in your fridge. Don't throw away the tops! Here are some uses for beet tops:
1. Sauté them in oil as a side dish
2. Enjoy raw in a salad for a bitter green
3. Make into a pesto or other favorite sauce
4. Add to a hearty fall soup
If you're going to buy a veggie, be sure to use the whole vegetable. Think of it as a BOGO - buy one get one free. Buy beets and get the delicious tops too!
